Football: Jade Moore inspires school girls ahead of England V France international

October 20, 2016

Ahead of the England v France international match at the Doncaster Rovers’ Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster on Friday 21 October, England’s midfielder Jade Moore joined Doncaster Rovers Captain Andy Butler at Hungerhill Academy on  to take part in a girl’s football training session.

The FA wants to continue to build on the momentum gained from the Lionesses success in the 2015 World Cup, to inspire more  girls to participate in football and encourage support for the Lionesses.

Club Doncaster Foundation run a regular afterschool football coaching session for girls at Hungerhill School for 30-40 pupils aged 12-15, so it was a perfect opportunity for Jade to share tips, and talk to the girls about what it’s like to be a talented female football player at the top of her game at a Q&A session after the training.

Moore said “Local games for us, as England’s Lionesses’ have been fantastic and the support has been huge. I think we’ve nearly sold out every stadium that we’ve played at in our European campaign and hopefully that will be the same at Doncaster.

We’re in a really privileged position to see the growth of women’s football. I started my career when it wasn’t so big and now I’m flourishing when it’s starting to get big. The exciting part is where is it going to go and where do we take it.”
