Kit review: Cafe Du Cycliste bib shorts

July 8, 2014

Inspired by the Tour and want some new cycling kit for the summer? We love Cafe Du Cycliste for their fabulous French style, but do their bib shorts have that certain Je ne sait quoi? We reckon they do – read on for the review.

Unlike most bib shorts, these are designed so that they can be worn without a jersey on hot days. The top section has stripe fabric paneling mixed with mesh sections, a little like a running or fitness top so it’s great if you want to avoid the classic cycle shirt tan marks.

Good points:

– Great looking design, perfect for hot days.

– Superb detailing, including neat details like the zip-end triangle patch.

– Wide laser cut hem with smooth grip tape – super comfortable!

– Large rear stuff section for arm-warmers or jersey.

Bad points:

– There aren’t any really. All I can think of is that they are more expensive than many bib shorts on the market, but then you get what you pay for!
