Gymnastics: Bryony Page wins gold at Trampoline World Cup

Great Britain’s Bryony Page has won individual gold at the FIG Trampoline World Cup held in Odense, Denmark, scoring an impressive 54.890.

“It was amazing to be standing on the top of the podium, especially since it was such a strong field,” she said afterwards.

“I thought my routines went really well, my final routine felt particularly high and sharp, but it was definitely a surprise to see my name above Rosie (MacLennan  -2012 Olympic Champion) and the Chinese competitors on the scoreboard.

“My performance from this competition has given me confidence in my training towards the World Championships.”

Teammate Laura Gallagher finished in fifth position with a score of 53.260, and in the senior tumbling competition Lucie Colebeck won the silver medal scoring 66.700 with Yasmin Tait finishing in sixth place with 62.100.
