Tennis Week Kit Review: Dunlop Performance Tank and Skort

June 28, 2013

One of the reasons that we love tennis is it’s unpredictability. A match can last from just 30 minutes to over three hours, and so its important when we don’t know how long we’ll be on court, that at no point our clothing lets us down and affect our game.

We’re looking for kit that allows our bodies to not only breath, but also stay as lightweight as possible.

Its also crucial that we can move freely, so when it comes to bending down low to those sneaky drop-shots or stretching up high for those smashes, we’re there, with no restrictions.

Good Points:

– The outfit was simple in design, with great breathable fabric and the shape allowed for complete mobility around the court.

– The material kept me comfortable and dry when I was sweating, and this also made it convenient when washing, as both items take very little time to dry.

Bad Points:

– Whilst the skort does have built in shorts, they don’t have any ball pockets which I found to be a significant hindrance when it was my turn to serve.

– The material is very thin, which though having its advantages, if playing in cold conditions you may get a bit chilly!

– The tank isn’t overly stretchy. There isn’t much ‘give’ and made me feel a little self conscious. I would recommend that you buy the size up from your usual.
